Environmental Cardiovascular Disease

Modeling how environmental exposures shape cardiovascular health.

Overview

Our scientific focus

Cardiovascular disease reflects interactions between genetic susceptibility and environmental exposures accumulated throughout life. We develop human experimental systems to investigate how environmental stressors alter vascular and cardiac biology.

Our Approach

From human disease to mechanism.

Using iPSC-derived cardiovascular cells and multicellular models, we study endothelial injury, inflammation, oxidative stress, remodeling, and persistent molecular responses to environmental exposures. These studies connect exposure biology with mechanistic cardiovascular phenotypes.
