Precision Cardio-Oncology

Protecting the cardiovascular system during cancer therapy.

Overview

Our scientific focus

Cancer therapies can produce hypertension, vascular dysfunction, arrhythmias, and heart failure, yet susceptibility varies substantially among patients. We use human models to understand this variability and identify mechanisms of cardiovascular protection.

Tyrosine kinase inhibitorsIntegrated human models and mechanistic studies.
Anthracyclines & targeted therapiesIntegrated human models and mechanistic studies.
Patient-specific susceptibilityIntegrated human models and mechanistic studies.
Our Approach

From human disease to mechanism.

We connect clinical phenotypes with patient-specific iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and endothelial cells, multicellular organoids, functional assays, and molecular profiling. These approaches allow us to move from patient risk to mechanism and therapeutic rescue.
